Elkhorn Cemetery is situated on a 9 acre parcel of land located at SE-33-11-28W, along the north side of Road 65N. The Elkhorn Cemetery is maintained by local volunteers and committee members.
In preparation for the new cemetery site for Elkhorn, landscaping began around 1902. Work continued in 1934 where the iron fence at the entrance of the Cemetery was erected, with tree planting to follow in 1966. (Source: Elkhorn 1882-1967 History Book, Page 37)
